Mastering is the final step in the production process before a piece of music is ready for distribution or release. It involves the preparation and enhancement of the final stereo mix to ensure that it sounds its best across various playback systems and platforms.
For albums and EPs it may also involve subtle changes to the tonal balance of each song to help the album sound more consistent.
For CD releases it may also involve the creation of a DDP master file. I usually go for a less-is-more approach to mastering, with the intention of preserving the dynamics while also meeting the loudness specifications of modern streaming platforms.
£20 for a single song / £90 for an EP (2- 5 songs) / £120 for an album (5+ songs, up to one hour)
I aim to provide a professional quality service at prices that are genuinely affordable to unsigned and independent artists. Get in touch!
